Armed Forces Division is bringing its free Military Community Event to the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Saturday, September 12, from 11 AM to 3 PM. This event is designed to empower and connect active-duty service members, veterans, military retirees, and their families with the resources, education, and networking opportunities they need to thrive. Attendees will hear directly from veteran-owned business leaders and experienced professionals, gaining access to practical, military-specific education on VA home loans and real estate, maximizing your Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and retirement planning, life insurance options including SGLI and VGLI, wealth and financial strategies for budgeting, saving, and investing, survivor benefits and estate planning, and business and career resources for veterans starting or scaling a business.
With less than 20% of the military community financially literate in retirement and investment planning, and veterans twice as likely to own a small business compared to civilians, events like this are critical for empowering those who have served. Armed Forces Division integrates its Fulfillment Formula—Faith, Family, Fitness, Finance, and Fun—into every topic covered, ensuring a balanced approach to thriving after service. Virginia Beach is home to Naval Station Norfolk—the world’s largest naval base—and one of the largest concentrations of military families and veterans in the nation. General admission is completely free, but space is limited at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. Register today to secure your seat and connect with fellow service members, families, and community leaders.
